An ace raider, Rohit’s talent in the field of kabaddi is uncapped. Rohit came to prominence after finishing third in the 2015 school national, and is well known for his kick while raiding. Rohit began playing kabaddi at the tender age of 12 and became well known in the kabaddi circles after his junior debut for Delhi in 2015. Height: 5’ 8’’ Weight: 79 Kgs Born: 14 March, 1995 (PaiKaithal, Haryana) Gurvinder Singh hails from PaiKaithal, Haryana. This young raider has been involved in the Pro Kabaddi league since its inception. At age 18, he got to play his first Pro Kabaddi match, despite having started kabaddi only at 14. He has tasted success in the PKL, having won the third season with the Patna Pirates. Only 22 now, Gurvinder has age on his side, and he hopes to repeat the same feat with the Bengaluru Bulls this time around. Interestingly, he made his Railway senior debut a year after his PKL debut. Talk about providing a platform for young talent! In his spare time, Gurvinder helps with farming and enjoys grooving to some Haryanvi music.
Height: 5’ 7’’ Weight: 73 Kgs Born: 11 January, 1998 (Bhiwani, Haryana) Ankit Sangwan is a young, all-rounder plying his trade at his first season in ProKabaddi. A tall and lightweight player, Sangwan at 19 is considered a bright prospect with immense potential. Sangwan originates from Bhiwani, Haryana. He looks for the toe touches and bonuses to garner his raid points. He began playing Kabaddi at the age of 8, and made his first breakthrough playing for Haryana in 2016. Sangwan also relishes a bit of volleyball and football in his spare time. You will see him don the number 3 jersey this season.
Height: 5’ 6’’ Weight: 82 Kgs Born: 10 January, 1996 (Mandi, Himachal Pradesh) Mahender Singh is a 21-year-old defender (left cover) who hails from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. He started playing kabaddi at the age of 14 and got his first break when he made his debut for the Services in 2015. Nicknamed “Mahi”, he considers the block as his strong suit. It could get a little difficult to spot him during the off-season as he loves to travel!

PreetamChhillar took to kabaddi at age 14 and debuted in Pro Kabaddi’s very first season. He’s had quite a noteworthy career so far, having finished runners-up in the PKL 2014 and bagged the Gold in the Junior Nationals. He also secured a Gold with the Indian Railways in his debut Senior Nationals season in 2013. Preetam has played for the Bengaluru Bulls in 4 of the 5 PKL seasons. His strengths are the thigh hold and the block. A staunchly religious man, he performs his praying rituals regularly. When he’s not on the mat, you can find him listening to some music or shopping at a mall nearby!
Height: 6’ 1’’ Weight: 85 Kgs Born: 7 December, 1990 (Sonipat, Haryana) With RavinderPahal on the defensive end of the mat, if you get into the right corner, you’re not leaving from there. “Binda”, as he’s fondly called by people close to him, hails from Sonipat, Haryana. He made his ProKabaddi debut in the first season. Since then, he has made quite a name for himself and has the reputation of being one of the best defenders in the league. The 26-year-old started playing Kabaddi a decade ago. He got his first major break in 2011, when he took the mat for Haryana for the first time. Later, in 2013, he went on to play for the Railways as well. Ravinder commands immense respect from fans and critics alike, and is nicknamed “The Hawk”, for he defends as though he’s preying. He considers the dive as his strong move. When he’s not on the mat, he loves to farm and contribute to the household chores.
Height: 5’ 3’’ Weight: 70 Kgs Born: 20 June, 1996 (Rohtak, Haryana) This young all-rounder from Rohtak, Haryana started playing kabaddi at the raw age of 8. Amit made steady progress over the years and considers his Junior Nationals debut in 2014 his first major break. He hasn’t looked back since. He played a pivotal role in Haryana’s 2nd place finish in 2016. The result? A first opportunity in the Vivo PKL 2017, of course! His teammates fondly refer to him as “Bhima” citing his short and bulky structure. However, what he lacks in height, he more than makes up for in strength. He’s “Bhima”, after all! He loves to travel, plays football and likes to do his house chores as well. His go-to move? Let’s just say do not let him get hold of your thigh!
Age: 19 Years Position: Raider Height: 6’ 1’’ Weight: 85 Kgs Born: 30 September, 1997 (Batkal, Karnataka) Namma local raider, macha! Harish Naik is from Batkal, Karnataka. He’s had a meteoric rise since he started playing kabaddi, aged 15. Within 3 years, he had already played his first senior game for Karnataka and been involved in the Pro Kabaddi League. This is his second season in the PKL, and he’s still in the last year of his teens! As a raider, his strength is the hand touch. Harish loves to travel and likes to play other sports such as cricket when he’s got the time.
Age: 27 Years Position: Raider Height: 6’ 1’’ Weight: 82 Kgs Born: 19 January, 1990 (Nizampur, Delhi) Rohit “Akki” Kumar is from Nizampur, Delhi, and has managed to become a superstar of Kabaddi in just two seasons with the PKL. He prefers to be called Akki. Why, you ask? The nickname came about because of his unending fandom for his hero, his “Khiladi No. 1”, Akshay Kumar. Not many people know this, but he also proudly sports a tattoo of Akshay Kumar on his shoulder! At 6’ 1’’, Rohit is quite tall and puts his height, reach and long wingspan to great use when he’s raiding. Which is why, his strength is the hand touch. Since making his Services debut in 2011, the 27-year-old raider has won the Federation Cup twice, the PKL in 2015 and has also been awarded MVP in the third season of ProKabaddi. Kabaddi is Rohit’s calling in life. However, when he’s not playing or training, he likes to watch movies, listen to music, swim and play a game of badminton.
Age: 22 Years Position: All Rounder Height: 5’ 7’’ Weight: 74 Kgs Born: 28 December, 1994 (DadhiAdampur, Haryana) The number 10 of the Bengaluru Bulls, Ashish Kumar, is an all-rounder from Dadhi, Adampur, Haryana. He got his break in 2014 when he played his first game for the Haryana Senior team. After which, he made his debut in the PKL season 2. In his first season, he secured a 2nd place finish. Ashish Kumar is also a gold medalist at the Nationals. Ashish Kumar relies on the chain hold, which is his strength. Interestingly, Ashish has been nicknamed “Gandhi”. The Bengaluru Bulls dressing room does have a lot of inside jokes! He moves and sings along to some Punjabi music when he has the time. He’s a movie buff and likes to spend quality time with his family.
Age: 24 Years Position: Defender, Left Corner Height: 5’ 6’’ Weight: 79 Kgs Born: 01 August, 1992 (Malakpur, Uttar Pradesh) This 24-year-old defender (left corner) from Malakpur, Uttar Pradesh dons the number 11 jersey for Bengaluru Bulls. Known for his stocky frame, with a weight of 79 kilograms, and height of 5’ 6’’, Sachin Kumar is an ideal build for a kabaddi defender. His rock-solid defense is marked by his signature ankle hold. He has won 2 National Gold medals and 1 Federation Cup resulting in a place at the VIVO PKL Season 5. Sachin Kumar began playing kabaddi at the age of 13 and has not looked back since. He got his breakthrough in 2011 when he debuted for the Services and has made serious progress since then. When not playing, Sachin enjoys farming. He also loves to give back to the kabaddi community by coaching enthusiastic kids in his village.

This 20-year-old originating from Badhra, Haryana has featured in the Junior Asian Championship, winning the gold medal in 2016. Having begun playing at the age of 14, Sheoran’s favorite move is the ankle hold to stop opposition raiders. He will make his debut in the VIVO PKL Season 5 after having made his Junior debut in 2015. Sheoran enjoys watching movies, playing volleyball and spending time with family, when not playing Kabaddi.
Age: 24 Years Position: Defender, Right Corner Height: 5’ 8’’ Weight: 77 Kgs Born: 16 April, 1993 (Narwana, Haryana) Pradeep is a tall and lightweight defender who plays in the right corner position. Donning the jersey number 22, Pradeep originates from Narwana, Haryana and is fondly referred to as “Kallu” by his team mates. His signature move is the dive, to stop opposition raiders. Pradeep began playing Kabaddi at the age of 10 and will be making his debut in the VIVO PKL Season 5. He received his first breakthrough with the Jammu Junior team in 2010 and prefers to spend time with his family and listen to Haryanvi songs when not doing what he loves the most.

He has quite a few achievements to his name, leading up to the VIVO PKL Season 5. Ajay Kumar was a rising star in the PKL Season 4, and finished 2nd place overall. He also received a services gold in 2016, and the Federations Cup in 2017. Ajay Kumar a.k.aAjju can make it count when it matters the most. This 23-year-old raider shows maturity and calmness well beyond his years in crunch situations, invariably delivering in do-or-die raids. Ajay Kumar’s key strength as a raider is the turn, leaving opposition defenders dizzy with his mesmerising skills, while winning points for his team. He began playing at the age of 13, and made his PKL debut in Season 4. His first big break was his Services Senior debut in 2014. Ajay Kumar is a force to reckon with on the mat, but he also loves his sleep! He also sings along to some Haryanvi tracks when he has the time.
Age: 23 Years Position: All Rounder Height: 6’ Weight: 85 Kgs Born: 29 October, 1993 (Panipat, Haryana) Sunil is a 23-year-old all-rounder from Panipat, Haryana who began playing Kabaddi at the raw age of 12. He won the PKL gold with Patna Pirates in the third season. With a well-built frame, Sunil can perform both defensive and offensive duties for the team. Sunil began playing in the PKL from season 1. He enjoys travelling, farming and spending quality time with his family. As a raider, Sunil’s signature move is the hand touch.
Age: 21 Years Position: Raider Height: 5’ 7’’ Weight: 77 Kgs Born: 15 June, 1996 (Sonipat, Haryana) Sumita.k.a “Sheru” is a 21-year-old agile, young and lightweight raider from Sonipat, Haryana. He made his Haryana debut in 2016 and finished third in the All-India University games in 2017. He has been plying his trade in ProKabaddi since Season 4. As a raider, he relies on the bonus and considers that his strength. Sumit enjoys playing volleyball, travelling and performing his religious rituals. Sumit dons the number 7 jersey for the Bengaluru Bulls.
Age: 33 Years Position: All Rounder Height: 5’ 6’’ Weight: 85 Kgs Born: 04 January, 1984 (Dhanusha, Nepal) Sanjay Shrestha is a veteran all-rounder who hails from Dhanusha, Nepal. He began playing Kabaddi at a relatively ripe age of 19. He has been involved with the PKL since the first season. In fact, he secured the top spot in his very first season with the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Shrestha made his breakthrough with Nepal in 2004. He enjoys playing other sports such as volleyball and football. He’s also a family man who always manages to make some time for them. His signature move is the hand touch. Being one of the overseas professionals in the team, the Bengaluru Bulls will depend on him to deliver for them this season
Age: 27 Years Position: Defender, Left Corner Height: 6’ Weight: 74 Kgs Born: 11 July, 1989 (Kisor, Hisar, Haryana) From Kirori, Hisar, Haryana, Kuldeep Singh is a left corner defender with a tall and lean frame. “Kala”, as he’s referred to by his team mates, has already achieved quite a bit. He bagged the silver at the Nationals with Haryana in his first season. He also secured a 3rd place finish and a victorious season in the PKL with the Patna Pirates in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Kuldeep Singh is also a deeply pious individual and performs his rituals meticulously. He loves to go out on long drives and also enjoys a game of volleyball in his spare time.
